Welcome to Yale Model Congress!

"Government is too big and too important to be left to the politicians."
- Chester Bowles, Yale Graduate and former Governor of Connecticut

For sixteen years, Yale Model Congress has devoted itself to staging conferences that provide our high school delegate with the opportunity to assume the responsibilities of our elected representatives and to tackle the issues that face our nation. We strive to provide delegates with an engaging, fulfilling, and intimate environment in which to fight for their legislation, debate their opinions, and deepen their understanding of how our government works. By the end of four days together, we hope that all delegates leave with a greater appreciation for the nature of American democracy and with the inspiration to be active citizens in the future.
